Innovation Infrastructure in the Western Balkan Countries - April 2008

The updated version of the publication ‘Innovation Infrastructure in Western Balkan Countries’ provides an overview of the situation as regards innovation infrastructures such as clusters, technology and innovation centres, technology and science parks, business-start-up centres/ technology incubators in following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia/UNMIK Kosovo. All six reports were compiled in summer 2007, published in printed version in October 2007 and updated in April 2008.

Six thematic reports on innovation infrastructure were produced within the framework of the project 'Information Office of the Steering Platform on Research for the Western Balkan Countries'.

The Information Office of the Steering Platform on Research for the Western Balkan Countries (see-science.eu) is a project (Specific Support Action, Contract Number: 031770) co-funded by the European Community's Programme for Specific International Scientific Cooperation Activities
(INCO) under the 6th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (2002-2006).
Project duration is 24 months: May 2006 till April 2008.

The follow up initiative of the Steering Platform on Research for the Western Balkan Countries is the Western Balkan Countries INCO-NET, funded by the European Commission in the 7th Framework Programme (FP7). 26 partners cooperate to support the Steering Platform for 4 years (January 2008 till December 2011).
