Support the joint SCORE – WBC-INCO.NET networking session at ICT 2008

The FP projects SCORE “Strengthening the Strategic Cooperation Between the EU and Western Balkan Region in the field of ICT” and WBC-INCO.NET “Co-ordination of Research Policies with the WB Countries” have recently joined their forces and submitted a common proposal for a networking session on the ICT research priorities for strategic cooperation with the Western Balkan Region, at ICT 2008.

The ICT 2008 event, which is biennially organised by the European Commission's Directorate General for the Information Society and Media, is the Europe's biggest research event for information and communication technologies. It will be held in Lyon (France) on 25 - 27 November 2008.

Having a networking session organised in such a framework, would provide an optimal chance for EU and WB ICT research actors to investigate real cooperation opportunities in some already identified strategic fields such as:

The participants of the SCORE – WBC-INCO.NET session would be likewise able to confront each other on the still existing barriers, from the WBC side, to an effective ICT R&D collaboration, so as to put forward remedial actions and reforms to support and leverage future EU FP initiatives, taking full advantage of them.

To be finally selected, the SCORE - WBC-INCO.NET proposal needs to be now supported by the ICT community!

The SCORE and WBC-INCO.NET project teams consequently kindly ask you to endorse their initiative by providing a comment /rate on:
